In a wire rack on top of a baking sheet ready your stove then carefully slide into the hot oil to fry. Repeat with a few more smelt fish in just make sure you give the smelt enough room so that they don't touch in the oil make sure the oil is not so hot Fry both sides of the smelt fish for 2 minutes each side. They cook very quick Let the fried smelt drain its excess oil on the wire rack. Repeat with remaining batches. In the Phil. back in my time we used to eat this smelt fish,
We called it Bolinaw in Visayan dialec in Philippines, although another option we eat is that Raw fish smelt, we eat as raw, mix with vinegar, lemon, onion, chilly, genger, This is yummy seriously we like to eat this because this is how we grow up and its very delicious, No matter how many years i live I still thinking my favorite food I am starving.
On the separate bowl i also I cook the smelt fish on the skillet fan put the oil let it hot cook the smelt, its already mix anyways with Garlic powder, black ppper, also if you would prefer also mix with Lime citrus its though because i mix the citrus with smelt when I"m done cooking Feel like I"m in Philippines I really miss the food that I used to eat I seldom to eat fish here since i live for many years I hope i could buy some more fish and store in the prezer thanks Godness I can eat now super yummy.

Ice cream purple yum
I buy ice cream at nearby local store last couple of weeks ago here. As I remember back in my country Philippines there is people in the sidewalk who sell ice cream then we called it Mr ice cream man because kids like it back then when I was a kid I like to eat ice cream.
jokingly refer to homemade ice cream sold cheaply from street carts as a cone dirty ice cream Up until recently, Sorbetes was generally considered inferior ice cream made by the large companies Magnolia and Selecta. But with increase the pride in local artifacts even the company Selecta is marketing a line called sorbetes ice cream on purple yum.

Wok in Roll food
This is a good recipe with a simple marinade, which is perhaps its good for lazy cooker shall I say easy to cook I was cooking couple of months ago Teriyaki pork the result was good as it is a bit of spicy but delicious. This time the photo below is mine its Name WoknRoll restaurant the Name of the Restaurant which is really good and super delicious they have many orders over the phone and also at their restaurant normally we went there to order this Teriyaki chicken and rice, We go there and order also French fries, fried scallop and egg drop soup after a couple of minutes have to pick it up were so hungry supposed to be I am going to cook but the good day turns not good feel don't cook because that day I have appointment and I have another appointment on afternoon. Just visit the web and you find their great food woknroll You’ll probably have to cook these in batches, by skillet pan as I did. unless you have an outdoor grill, then use that. If using a grill pan, don’t clean it between batches the juices will collect after each cooking and darken the chicken it is really good promise. Me My son were like say oh this so delicious can't believe he like Chicken teriyaki now used to be he like the pork but now on he has two favorite.

We called this fruit pomelo
here's the picture my niece posted this pomelo. This fruit Pomelo is energizing snack any time good for your heart
Pomelos are the only known fruits containing spermadine
This gentle giant of the citrus is native to Malaysia and Southeast Asia, but has been introduced to many tropical countries as well as California, Florida and Hawaii of the United States. I grab the picture of this fruit from my niece picture she is tagging me last night I told her that I miss Pomelo fruit tagalog term is Pomelo which is the good idea to talk about . Its been a while I did not eat this I think 5 years already we went on vacation last year but never got a chance to buy anyhow I knew we been busy for something else. I just told her, my niece that it need to be posted on social network since I miss to eat it then suddenly she was posting I am glad I see the Pomelo from her social network. Maybe next time I well buy this. The delicious pomelo can enhance a healthy diet.
Sweet with just a hint of grapefruit-like tang, pomelos are refreshing first thing in the morning or cold from the refrigerator, as a fortifying snack. Its juice can be a tasty addition to sauces, salads, salsas and marinades. The curious mixture of melon-like sweetness with citrus tang makes pomelo juice a welcome addition to many recipes - add a skinless, seedless wedge to flavor your favorite ice tea.
Low Calorie and low fat.
Pomelos have 0% fat and 72 calories per cup/190 grams a dieter's delight Most everyone has heard of the Grapefruit Diet, which become popular in Hollywood Both grapefruit and pomelo contain a fat burning enzyme, which theoretically increases the dieter's success. This fad diet promoted extremely low calorie intake and eating grapefruit before every meal.

Junk food
People have choices about what they choose to buy in stores and what they eat and feed their children. We are constantly know that junk food is a one way ticket to the panoply of modern unhealthy food when we eat this junk food, it causes diabetes as high blood pressure, heart disease, stuffed with sugar, salt and all things processed cleverly, If you eat fattening junk food and you gain weight to be true I am not fan of fatty food and junk food. During free time or med afternoon I eat junk food but not very often. I make some cookies, cupcakes, and dessert for my son because he loves that one. It good I see him after he gets home from school he openly the fridge and get his favorite cookies I know kids don't need to eat junk food but he knows he is growing up. however I well not baking very often. He eat some kind of food that has meat on it good for his growing body.
Me and my kid eat popcorn all the time despite it being kind of junk food. I seldom eat junk food or anything salty But it would be good to eat a lot of popcorn is not bad as long as not everyday. popcorn is good for snacking while watching TV.

we called benignet
On Holy Week. Every Holy Friday, my Mom will cook Tabirak as we called in Filipino and it is our specialty in Holy week. This is what I eat last week. My friend a filipino bring me a Benignet she cook a lot and she brought me this benignet I am glad she share her benignet One time she brought me a home made Vinegar which is I truly impressed because it's really good and smelling so strong that's perfect suka or vinegar. She is a good cooker comparing me. Although just trying my best to be a good cook but nothing can beat of my friend, mosly the food she brought were good i do like it. When she come back were going to find a good recipe so we could cook. Back to the benignet the whole day instead of eating meat and rice every meal. This serves as our way of fasting or snack After cooking. When my mom cook she shares it with us and we like it. As It is pretty normal for us sharing a bowl of Tabirak even it has the same ingredients but the fact that a different person cooks it makes sense. Tabirak is not only cooked during Holy week but also everyday common in our tradition as filipino to cook our food because we miss our traditional food. I cook Filipino food even though I live here for many years. How about you did you cook Tabirak or Benignit? you can buy it at asian market. Some cafeteria serve this for merienda or snacks. In Ph. I love it! Below is the picture of Tabirak though I am eating this time had a chance took a pic. friend brought it for me.

They called Cassava Wrapped in Banana leaves. This is a variation of more popular Sumang Malagkit which is steamed glutinous wrapped in my banana leaves.
Aside from the very simple process of making Cassava Wrapped this Filipino native sweet delicacy is so popular to Filipinos because of the abundance of kamoteng kahoy in the Philippines. Also known as cassava or kamoteng kahoy is the third largest source of carbohydrates for meals. My kid does not want to eat because he don't know what it is Somehow he said mom I bit you eat Filipino Food than american Food yes. Here in the US, you can buy it fresh or frozen. Though I prefer to buy it fresh whenever I find some at the Asian store, I always have the frozen one in the freezer for emergency use. It's my first time to make suman, so I decided to just use my remaining 1 pack of frozen cassava just so I could see the outcome.

My round fruits
The New Year traditions some of the traditions may be old and may be considered out of date Some are based on superstitious beliefs.
And still others are based on pure positive thinking.
New Year Celebration is all about driving out bad luck or bad spirits and welcoming in good luck for the coming new year. It is a borrowed belief or tradition. One big example of this borrowed tradition is the preparation of 13 different kinds of round and sweet fruits prepare at the dinning table. traditional number of round and sweet fruits being served and prepared during New Year's Eve is 13 If you are a typical Filipino you will think that 13 is so unlucky and is kind of associated with evil spirits or deeds. But, with this kind of tradition, its not it depends on you.
Anyways were not able to depend on the superstitious however the belief that we have since were born because this is how we do during christmas and new year's eve. here are some fruits i prepared last new years eve. i do also have to cook a food but i did not take a photo to bad my camera
Sd card is full sometimes were not excited to cook a good menu because other than that like me i am the one who ate the food my son does not eat filipino food like spaghitte, adobo, menudo humba, or other food. but he eat the rest of it like noodles and filipino hotdog. because new years eve
i cook only 3 different kind of food like sticky sweet rice ( tagalog term. beko, humba, and leche plan, dessert) when the leche plan supposed to place in the steamer a good friend of mine called me and said were going to her house because they had a lot of food so went up there and my dessert
set up there without cooking although we had a good time at their house food is yummy that was new years eve and we had a great time anyways i finish the cooking with my dessert in the morning :-) new year's day :-) happy New Year to all.
