My Muffin

Now I am going to take the muffins and put them on the pan which is one a medium size I am using a Pyrex pan . There is no oil on the pan, the cornmeal as I mention before is going to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.  I am  going to bake for 35 minutes  then I use the little stick to check if the Muffin is done while turning it once to the other side. Now I can see not cook yet  I'm going to return to the Oven to make it little  brown.  Now I can either let it stay in the  pan for 10 minutes but I prefer to be sure that it is cooked I set aside and leave  5 minutes. which is warmed up because my kid can't wait to eat the Muffin he said Oh  That's a long time to bake to much cooking. I knew he like the Muffin since I did not bake a lot.  Now I can see the muffins are nice and brown  after waiting a couple of minutes at last it's done and ready to eat. Yummy and delicious I love Muffin bake is my favorite to eat. Good snack  for afternoon  and in the morning with coffee. Thank you for taking a time to look my Muffin.

Leche flan

I made my own Leche Flan  i miss to eat it  although this photo i took it few
days ago good thing it turns good. My kid  raise to the table when he spotted this Filipino dessert
I had to remind him to eat the meal first before he eat the Leche Flan because it is so sweet and
and in terms of sweet it is so much calories. Leche flan is the Filipino cream custard was one of the first desserts I learned to make. I was in high school when i learn to cook i watch my mom if she's
cooking in the kitchen. This is good especially if there was a big party or fiesta happening. When the kitchen was chaotic, I knew there would be good food soon. And I knew the desserts would be divine and so yummy. kindly look the pic. above and also i include the recipe.

                 1 can 390g   condensed milk
              1  Evaporated milk  390 g
              10 egg yolks
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or lemon essence
For the caramel, 1 cup sugar 3/4 cup water

In a saucepan, mix the sugar & water.   Bring to a boil for a few minutes until the sugar caramelize.
Pour the caramelized sugar into aluminum moulds   you can use any shape: oval, round or square. Spread the caramel on the bottom of the moulds.  Mix well the evaporated milk, condensed milk, egg yolks and vanilla by hand or blender.  Gently pour the mixture on top of the caramel on the aluminum moulds. Fill the moulds to about 1 to 1 1/4 inch thick.  Cover moulds individually with aluminum foil.Steam for about 20 minutes  the traditional way to make Leche Flan is by open-air steaming on either an open cooking fire or stove top . Bake for about 45 minutes. Before baking the Leche Flan, place the moulds on a larger baking pan half filled with very hot water. Pre-heat oven to about 370 degrees before baking.

My round fruits

The New Year traditions some of the traditions may be old and may be considered out of date Some are based on superstitious beliefs. And still others are based on pure positive thinking.

New Year Celebration is all about driving out bad luck or bad spirits and welcoming in good luck for the coming new year. It is a borrowed belief or tradition. One big example of this borrowed tradition is the preparation of 13 different kinds of round and sweet fruits prepare at the dinning table. traditional number of round and sweet fruits being served and prepared during New Year's Eve is 13 If you are a typical Filipino  you will think that 13 is so unlucky and is kind of associated with evil spirits or deeds. But, with this kind of tradition, its not it depends on you.

Anyways were not able to depend on the superstitious however the belief that we have since were born because this is how we do during christmas and new year's eve. here are some fruits i prepared last new years eve. i do also have to cook a food but i did not take a photo to bad my camera
Sd card is full sometimes were not excited to cook a good menu because other than that like me i am the one who ate the food my son does not eat filipino food like spaghitte, adobo, menudo humba, or other food. but he eat the rest of it like noodles and filipino hotdog. because new years  eve
i cook only 3 different kind of food like sticky sweet rice  ( tagalog term. beko, humba, and leche plan, dessert) when the leche plan supposed to place in the steamer a good friend of mine called me and said were going to her house because they had a lot of food so went up there and my dessert
set up there without cooking although we had a good time at their house food is yummy that was new years eve and we had a great time anyways i finish the cooking with my dessert in the morning :-) new year's day :-)  happy New Year to all.

food that i miss

Several things that i have not forgotten to eat during my time when i was in the Ph. there's many good memories from my beloved native land that i always missing no other other than  sandines we called in filipino sardines because this  is a good food in my country.  Some folks have not long been aware of the health benefits of eating sardines it has an issue of the magazine,  said that ounce for sardines provide more calcium and phosphorus it has protein than potassium.

But few of them are not recommending eating sardines as a good source of  nutrients. It Say's it could be not health care providers either is not  aware of the health benefits sardines or they know that many people who tried sardines were put off the moment they opened a tin of smelly, tightly packed and maybe mushy little fish i stores some cans of sardines and other  filipino food in case if i need then i have to cook and my amega, friend share with me :-)  but not all the time it's nice you  have friend who share your food.

When sardines came from these  they are canned within hours of the catch, they're fresh and will not smell fishy like most canned sardines that have been frozen prior to processing. Most health food grocery markets will carry true sardines, or they can be ordered online from select companies So, my son don't like the smell of the sardines he does not eat also he turning his head said he don't like to eat  but he has no option mom like to eat and he turning up his  nose at the thought of  not eating smelly sardines.

Is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States.Thanksgiving is celebrated each year on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada Because of the longstanding traditions of the holiday, the celebration often extends to the weekend that falls closest to the day it is celebrated. Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. Thanksgiving has its historical roots in religious traditions, but today is celebrated in a more secular manner.

dicks wings

last weekend me my kid and my boyfriend  went out to eat in dick's wing i longed to eat chicken wings because it's way far away from my renting place we had a good lunch there it was perfect for us we went shopping for the electronic  we need a stuffs for his room. We think about the best idea to stop by to the chicken wings since i never had a good breakfast i am starving on that day. It was awesome weekend the weather is perfect for me it's look like Ph. how i wish stay the same like this. was'nt a plan to go there were on our way to get back to the house when we think the chicken  wings. we going to have a lunch at dick wings.   love these. really easy to make at home. i can make it i have different sauce for chicken. just like Hooters, but they were still great and much better  than Hooters.

Ingredients

12 whole chicken wings
3 ounces unsalted butter
1 small clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup hot sauce
/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions

Place a 6-quart saucepan with a steamer basket and 1-inch of water in the bottom, over high heat, cover and bring to a boil.

Remove the tips of the wings and discard or save for making stock. Using kitchen shears, or a knife, separate the wings at the joint. Place the wings into the steamer basket, cover, reduce the heat to medium and steam for 10 minutes. Remove the wings from the basket and carefully pat dry. Lay the wings out on a cooling rack set in a half sheet pan lined with paper towels and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Replace the paper towels with parchment paper. Roast on the middle rack of the oven for 20 minutes. Turn the wings over and cook another 20 minutes or until meat is cooked through and the skin is golden brown.

While the chicken is roasting, melt the butter in a small bowl along with the garlic. Pour this along with hot sauce and salt into a bowl large enough to hold all of the chicken and stir to combine.

Remove the wings from the oven and transfer to the bowl and toss with the sauce. Serve warm and you ready to eat.
